The easiest way to do this is through animation or compositing using a separate program.

or, you could always just create a series of images in a painting application and insert them in sequence (some editing software will pull in sequentially named files [like file001.png file002.png file003.png ...] as a single clip, not sure if Pinnacle Studio can, if you don't want to worry about sizing them in your editor, there are likely free animation programs that will string the images together for you). Also, if you use Jasc PaintShop Pro, it comes with AnimationShop which can handle this.
